TorchRunner does not try to run your practice for you. It runs work under your direction and gets better at it from your corrections. You are always the operator. The system is the staff.

Direction

You set the intent. “Prep the QBR for Acme.” “Chase the three open items on the Riverside close.” “Draft the renewal note for Lumen.” You are not writing instructions for how to do these things. You are pointing at the outcome and the engagement. TorchRunner figures out the how, because the Runner already knows the how. This is managerial work, and it is work you are already good at. The interface meets you there.

Correction

The first draft of anything will not be exactly right, the same way a capable junior’s first draft is not exactly right. So you correct it. You change the framing, fix the number, cut the section the client does not care about. Two things happen when you correct. The immediate output gets fixed. And the correction is recorded against the engagement and the Runner, so the next run starts closer to right. You are not re-teaching the same lesson every month.

Why command stays with you

Fractional work runs on trust and on your name. The judgment that protects both cannot be handed off, and TorchRunner does not ask you to hand it off. Nothing goes to a client without your direction. The system’s job is to remove the assembly, the chasing, and the blank page, so the part only you can do gets all of your attention.
Automation in TorchRunner is earned, not assumed. Work starts fully under your control. Specific Runners graduate to running with less oversight only after they have proven reliable on your practice. You decide the pace.
